Default Buttkicker Audio Enhancement for F1 2010 by Derinahon

F1 2010 *Buttkicker* Audio Enhancement 0.1

This mod is for users of the Buttkicker Gamer (2) or any other Buttkicker device.

I've made some audio adjustments to enhance feedback via the Buttkicker. I also reduced the volume where it is too loud.

1. Enhanced audio feedback from suspension travel. (You should feel more bumps in the track)
2. Increased overall bass when on track.
3. Adjusted tyre scrub and skid to be more audible. (may remove later)
4. Reduced volume of intro videos.
5. Reduced volume of some UI elements.

I recommend setting the in game music volume to 50% because as with 4 & 5, it can overpower the Buttkicker when it's set nice and high (where we like it!).

Let me know what you think and any suggestions

Awesome, I have a modified butt kicker system, using the buttkicker shown and an upgraded AMP... look forward to trying this...

Thanks a lot for this, i've got the same buttkicker, and your modifications change the feeling of the bumps, so more real.
However, I've notice that the sound is too loud just for the noise at the end of a race, my buttkicker turn to red light for 3 sec and can wake up my neighbors ! If you can modify this, it would be great and perfect !

Thanks for the feedback peeps. I'll be making more adjustments over the weekend to collision sounds and to (hopefully) further improve feedback from the road.

Great improvement over the first audio mod. I really appreciate this work, as a Butt Kicker Driver, this is an excellent mod.

Suggestions:

1) Set it up where engine volume doesn't lower when engineer speaks please

2) Tire Scrubbing a little to loud.. tone down a slight bit please

3) road noise is Perfect

I have to concur about the tire scrub being a little too loud. The engine seems quieter than the tires. If the change we have here is 100% louder I would knock it back to 30%-50% for it to mix in well. Just a suggestion.

Otherwise, thanks again for this mod, its added a lot to the feel of the game. Great job!

cool so all you guys have a butt kicker?....I have always wondered how well it worked and if it was worth the $ and hassle of setting it up....ever since I got into the driving titles I've payed close attention to what it really feels like driving in RL...and alot of the feed back of what the vehicle is doing is literally "the seat of the pants" kind of thing...I might one day order one up.

I ordered the Buttkicker Advanced since they are out of the Gamer 2 until just before christmas. I mounted it to my chair and now I can't go back. If I start a sim and forget to turn on the amp for the Butt Kicker, I immediately fell like something is missing. The feedback from the system really helps your driving. Awesome product.

I can't wait to try this mod!

So true, most folks miss this, drive your car on the edge of a road with wake-up grooves you feel in the seat mostly!

Hi everyone, hope you're enjoying the mod.

In the next version I'll lower the tyre scrub volume. I had it set loud while adjusting the cut in point, but forgot to put it back afterwards I'll also stop the volume dropping when the engineer starts chatting.

Thanks to those of you who commented. Any more feedback you have will help my tweaking

Excellent job, much better than 0.1. Hasn't improved my driving past "moving chicane" level but adds immersion and blurs my vision when turned up.
