Hi
First of all sorry for my englisch ![]() I have just started new championship, and noticed very strange and stupid thing. Sometimes AI cars goes to pitstop before last lap (16/17) or even during the last one. Is there any chance to do something with that? Maybe I can change something in options? Help please ![]() Thanks |

Puebla (always, and olmast best drivers), Curityba, Pau - I have to chack other tracks, but I think that it will be the same - I'll try reinstel the game, maybe it helps. I tryed Your solution (I took fuel for 23 laps), but they start pitting at 16 lap

You can change the AI fuel fill as follows:
Select the car type from the Teams folder, and open the .hdc file (use Notepad). Find the line "Fuelsetting=". . The number shown there is in liters; revise to the amount you want the AI to start off with. In the line above this line "fuelrange=(1.0,1.0, XX), the XX value is the max tank capacity (liters), and will be the highest number you can select. You can check this by reading the HUD fuel reading for the AI cars on the grid by advancing through the field using page-up or page down keys on some computers...on mine I have to use the + or - keys in the numberpad area. Further adjustment can be made by modifying the "FuelUse=xx" number in the.AIW file for each track. Reducing this number will sometimes increase the run distance per fuel fill. However, this relationship is not necessarily linear, so you should experiment with a combination of both numbers. Keep in mind this is a manipulation of the numbers; I have no real understanding of how the game really intends to use them.......there is also no guarantee that that this will work for your car/track. Good Luck. |

Open the GTR2 directory, open the GameData folder, open the Teams folder, and select a car type. Open the selected car folder...you should find the .hdc file in that list of files. If you find the .hdc file save a copy of it. Use Notepad to open the .hdc file and find the referenced line. If you change the value, be sure to save it.
The .AIW file is in the Track folder, also in the GameData folder. Go back to the game and see what happens. It may help to make a few changes and record what happens. If a relationship exists you be able to see it. Last edited by carham; 21 March 08 at 15:14. |

Thats all I needed to know. I found the other cars would always pit about the same time that I got a low fuel warning (unless I we were on the last lap) so presumably all I need to do is work out how much fuel I need to get to the finish without running low enough to get the warning.

Did you solve it?
I am having the same problem but even if I start with a full tank some AIs go pitting just before last lap... |

Race with fuel useage off.You don't need to pit in 20 minute races anyway.(which is about the average length of 100% race)

I race about 25 laps, so one pit stop is mandatory. It makes the race more interesting!

why not give the ai cars a setup of their own, then u can adjust their fuel and setups make them good, bad or plain old ugly
for the bm`s the setups go in GameData\Teams\WTCC_2007\BMW 320si Teams, not sure about the naming convention tho, i only suggest it cause ive seen them in them folders but never installed them, nor have i tried them.

It might be the right solution BUT...
there is another issue I have to put the setup SVM file in the F3000 directory BUT as I create such directory (STEAM game version) all drivers in game are cloned!!! (there are 2 of each drivers in the selection car screen)!!!! WHAAAAAAAAAT????
