Hi,
I have a couple of cars that are unable to exit the pits. I can view them onboard and see the driver turns the wheel, engine revs, car sits stationary and doesn't exit. Any clue why? |

When you're viewing from the cockpit of the problem cars, hit the "Page Up" key to get an external view....use the "4" or "5" key on the number pad to move around the cars to see if they are hung up on some thing. This may, or may not find the problem, but it's a place to start. If you find something that looks suspicious, we can discuss methods of fixing the issues. What cars and which track are you seeing this problem?

Which mod and do you mean the actual pit stall where the tires are changed and the fuel is filled up, or the garage. If the car cannot leave the garage, it is a combination of several factors, mainly a low initial torque value for the engine file coupled with a tall first gear. It can be dealt with mainly by editing the first few lines of the engine file to increase the torque above the brake torque after the first line. Sometimes more work is needed like editing the gearbox lines and even increasing the clutch values.
The SCC mod was plagued with several cars like that, the next update...whenever we get it ready...has addressed this issue. No stuck cars in the garages. dh |

Yes,
It was stuck cars in the garage stall. I have gone in and corrected the engine torque value. Now they exit just fine. Thank You. |

Absolutely right, i actualy have to do this with many mods because of many tracks will cause this effect. I still dont know why it's track related, but it is, as i can see. i didnt find nothing in aiw file.
anyway... eric |

It 'may' be track related somehow, a value assigned to the garages perhaps, I only know the fueluse line of the AIW so I'm only guessing. But it can be overcome by adjusting the engine and hdc files. So I tend to look at it as more of a car issue than a track issue.

This kind of issue requires a revision to the car's location the garage ([PITS] section of the (.AIW) file) ...see the example below: [PITS] TeamIndex=0 PitPos=(-11.575,-2.773,-179.532) PitOri=(-0.034,-0.017,0.017) GarPos=(0,-14.888,-3.086,-187.214) GarOri=(0,-0.004,-1.485,0.036) GarPos=(1,-15.343,-2.853,-180.677) GarOri=(1,-0.004,-1.484,0.037) GarPos=(2,-14.834,-2.654,-174.951) GarOri=(2,-0.004,-1.484,0.034) You may have to experiment with the numbers (red) a little to get the position adjusted correctly......remember to save the original file before you begin. Good luck, |

ONLY ONE ANSWER: change the garagedepth. If you don't have the code on the AIW file, add it
