Default Intro movie jerky

Hi, In all my simbin games, (GTR2 RACE 07, GTR, etc) the intro movies start and stop for ~ 1/4 sec and the video and audio are interrupted. The game itself plays fine. I can't quite recall what made this change. Any suggestions, other than just play the game? thanks!

I am having the same problem but I think it has something to do with the Video Card, I just up graded about 6 months ago and that when I started having that problem. But before my upgrade It never did that.

I had some issues with the game when i upgraded video card recently. Although the problem you suggest wasn't one of them try deleting the config file from your GTR2 main folder. It contains info related to the graphics card that can conflict with the game when you swap cards out and don't refresh the file by creating a new one.

The game will create a new one when you re-enter the details of your resolution, AA, etc. This cleared up my issues.

If you have NVIDIA, update the drivers. If you go to NVIDIA's website, they note there is an issue with one of their recent releases and GTR2 (don't remember if this was posted in their forum or support sections). The game also jerks, you just may not be aware of it. I usually pull my drivers from my card vendor's website - you get the latest beta releases which, of course, may have some risk being beta but have the latest fixes (EVGA for me).

I went to evga website, as i have an nVidia 7300GT. I got the latest driver..174.XX and it cleared it up. This was strange, b/c when I had the previous driver, 169.21, it started off ok. Then the movie was all stuttering. I also got a new driver ffor my VIA chipset on the mobo... all is well.

Yeah swifty, it was jerky w/o me touching anything. Strange thing, it was jerky on ALL my SIMBIN games... GTR2, Race 07 and GTL. Hows that for weird? But the new driver did the trick for me.
