online functionality patch gtr2

hi all,

i dont race online so as i understand it good then i dont needed the online functionality patch, because this patch is om my pc 10 GB big and thats a lot if you dont need it

10 gb? I thought it was tiny new url that redirects the lobby to different servers. Is there more to it?

Got my attention too, but presumed he had just mixed terms with "something else". Official online patch contains just 2 files, 29 bytes each. Plus the installer overhead and 153k worth of supporting files

Even the v1.1 patch is "just" 38.4MB. 10GB would be 2 double sided DVDs, or 3 normal DVDs.. No patch is of that size.

Got to be some mixup.

i think i just don't remove it because i'm afraid that the game doesnt work when i delete the patch but anyway thanks for answer

Can someone help me with this?:
So, my GTR2 was perfectly went with 1.1 patch and with the online functionality patch, nothing error happened. But about 2 months ago, the game won't started up at all because of a CTD. Then I tried hundreds of times but nothing happened, just CTD.
Then I uninstalled the clean version, and the game started. Then all the mods, started and went well. Than the 1.1 patch and the online patch and the game again didn't started. So then I tried without the 1.1 and just the online patch, but the same error happened...

Now I just run a clean version, I didn't dare to put up any patch. Can someone help me what is the problem?
