Default How to skip annoying intro movies

To skip the movies upon game startup:

-[game dir]\Movies\BootFlow_in.bik & BootFlow_out.bik --> simply rename them

To skip the 'pan around the car when first entering the race':

- Hit JoyButton5, whatever that is on your controller, and you'll skip right to the start of the race

Was just about to post this. Cheers. That intro was obnoxious, especially after messing with graphics settings and having to restart.

Thanks a lot, GregP. I've just deleted BootFlow_in.bik and saved ~60Mb.

A similar method is to go into your game directory and rename the movie folder to anything else and the game will not find the movies and just skip over them instantly.

This method sounds like the best, this folder contains 1 GB unnecessary movies

The "yeah man! great drift skillz!" bullcrap movies being unskippable is total BS. I don't take racing advice from a fat dude drinking Monster.

Thanks for the info, guys!

The explanation-videos are a good idea, but they MUST be skippable!

I always get aggressive when there is a video played which is not skippable.

Renaming the files works , but I'm having trouble with the JoyButton5. I have an F430 wheel, so I'm using the momo profile in Shift 2. I did map JoyButton5 to handbrake or nitro (can't remember which one), but pressing it does nothing at all, so I have to watch that fraking "pan-around-the-car" view in every race and every time I restart a race. Does anyone know another way of skipping to the actual start of the race?

try to not map button 5 manually... load the preset go to race and check which buttons work.

I tried. It still doesn't work... It only works when I use the F430 profile, but as we all know, the force feedback is bugged on it, so I have to use the momo profile...

I hope they fix the F430 profile in the next patch (if there even is a next patch)! I can't stand having to watch the pan-around all the time...
