Default Hidden TC setting?

I find it hard to believe that in elite mode with all adds off that I can jump into Viper and mash the throttle flat in second gear at any point in a corner and not hear a peep from the rear tyres.

Is there something else not switched off?

I'm not sure if its on purpose, but to me it feels like they turn on/off assists per vehicle. I generally play with assists off and I way too often go into options and see that stability or tc is on. I'm almost positive I'm hitting the "save" function every time I exit too.

If its on then the on screen icon should be flashing when not in in-car view.

Default Tuning

Look in tuning for the car, I have found the defaults are almost always horribly softened. Sometimes you may need to buy upgrades for a car to unlock the ability to really manipulate all the settings.

Main ones are increase the break pressure to full (if you have good stiff pedals), this means now IF you slam on the break it will lock the wheels up as expected so you need to drive more careful but in theory you will now be in control of the full potential of the cars brakes. The brake bias is almost always 50/50 also which is a bit odd haven't played too much with that but that will have a big impact on allowing you to steer the car a bit by braking harder if you find yourself unable to turn sharply enough and make it more drifting like.

The steering lock also can do with increasing often, too much and the car will be very hard to control in a straight line so adjust to what feels good with your particular wheel settings.

Anything that shows soft/hard should be brought to half way or higher I think such as spring/dampening, cars default to very soft springy and more forgiving so when the cars weight is unbalanced or you hit a bump it just absorbs it so you don't get a suddenly loss of control but instead almost a permanent feeling of less control

And depending on car some very weird ones pertaining to limiting deceleration and acceleration and limiting turning, they sound like artificial aids that limit what you have told the car to do to more safe values, so if you try and turn rapidly it will turn less rapidly as it knows it will spin out, and if you try to accelerate too fast it will dampen your acceleration... that is what they sound like they do and what the feel like theta do to me so make sure anything like that is at 0

All of these together can make am assize difference and make you feeling you are driving the car and not the other way round. Quite why they are set like this even in Elite mode is absolute insanity not of the cars seem to be setup to race at all.

I swear they could make a great boat racing game with this engine

Tuning is fine for your own cars but the Viper I was mentioning is an invitation eliminator at Miami.
