Default Need Mod for disabling rear mirrors in cockpit view for slower PCs

After spend a lot of time trying to tweak Shift 2 , i think i can gain exactly that last piece of fps i need, if i can disable rear mirrors while driving in cockpit view or helmet cam view, who needs them for hotlapping or the stupid AI.....????
Really SMs this option should be a standard in racing games, give the players please a bit more options and room for improving it on weaker PCs.

I installed too no bling bling mod and no spectactors mod.

The biggest problem now is still the image quality, and i have AA on normal!!!! it looks like the Anisotropic filtering doesnt work, i tried both ingame and via Catalyst control center. But i have still a very flickering image, if i drive in Brands hatch for example, all the white lines on the start straight do flicker like hell, what can i do against this????

I play now in 1360x768 AA normal AF 16( but image looks like it doesnt work ) Shadows off, car, track, reflections, medium Texture resolution high

gives me 50-60 fps alone on track..........

Core 2 Duo E 6750
Asus 4890 with latest Driver 11.3
4gb Ram
Win XP
no OC

I play the pc version and I can switch off that rectangular rear view mirror just by toggling the switch HUD key/button so I dont see why you cant do the same.

I play in 1920x1080 with an AMD 640 x4 and 8800gs (overclocked to 650mhz, stock is 550mhz) and I get 30fps and above with all settings high except shadows. AF at 8x and no AA. You're not really getting the image fidelity if you are using that low of a resolution especially when it's made into full screen on a higher res monitor. It's wide known that AA is a big fps hog in this game so im not using it.

Wow, this is a perfect storm of problems. ATI cards, AFAIK, aren't happy with this game. Running it on a totally outdated OS probably is not helping. Your resolution suggests a low class display. You installed the no-bling and no-spectators mod, which is known to cause a whole bunch of strange things in some peoples game. And finally, and most importantly, if you wanted FPS, you would drive in bonnet without the rearview on the HUD.

Dude, you can't see anything in an Exige's rearview mirror in reality either because of the intercooler for the supercharger which is in the rear center of the car. Also, the engine cover in the rear doesn't have a window, just some vents. Look at the back of the Exige in the garage and you'll understand. The mirror is there probably because legislation requires a mirror to be installed in any passenger car, but it's entirely useless.
