Great one! Still, the 1.8T is a really good engine, if it's still running after something like this

PS I do hope it's just some joke: If people become that stupid I'm loosing confidence, that a human being is the most intelligent lifeform on this planet. My dog wouldn't put sand in an engine!

I think it's a joke, I cannot imagine someone doing something THAT stupid and the car actually surviving that long. I know Germans make good cars, but this is ridiculous

Yeah, I'm a little late on it, but hadn't seen it before.

As for Direct Exhaust Injection... someone's patented something similar!

Man that was... quite an experience. I've not felt this intelligent since... er.. the last arguement I had with someone... But that's a coincidence. Very fun read up to the point where I was no longer funnyshock (which is a new medical condition from now on) and realised that it was a joke.

What an idiot...

Everyone nows sand is too coarse.
Ad cement and water to the mixture and the engine will stop making noise.

btw saw flour is excellent for denoising a loud gearbox, rear axle or a leaky cooler.

Oh dear, sorry folks, I've been taken. (And I normally pride myself on having very good Internet-BS-antenna and constantly directing my friends and parents to snopes.com for sending me BS emails!)

Can't find an exact source, but looks like it's been around.

Still, it's funny. And there's nothing wrong with laughing at fiction.

Devil is in the details

Direct Exhaust Injection as described on the autoblog was on a GM forum first (you have to create an account to view it ). The guy eventually moved on to i-DEI (intercooled-Direct Exhaust Injection) to overcome the heating problem.

Yeah, masking tape, putty paste and a can of spray is also a good way to fix rust holes.
