Default [rF] Working laptime board as a trackside object

Back in 2007 or 2008 I had some track installed which had a laptime board which worked! Too bad I cannot remember what track it was, but something tells me it was Barcelona. I'm not sure though.
I'd love to implement that on my next tracks - how's it possible to make, and is it possible at all?

Yeah I'd like to know too. I suppose it uses data from the 'onboard laptimer'
I'll find a way to have gridgirls showing those signs as wel.
Harhar!

fortunately the chaps at ISI have set out some good examples ..have a look at Lienz or Orchard lake 2 different styles.. you can copy the one used in Lienz as seen in use on the CSGT 70sebring track, but then because of the shape of the scorboardbck.tga it was just a case of editing the gdb lines.. it hopefully will give you some insight in how you could incorporate them into your unique tracks its down to setting the material to look at score font.tga files.. the texture size of your score fonts and importantly the controlling lines under the score heading that you see are added in the track's GDB file, that guide the layout to display your scoreboard fonts position and how many places ...

wow thanks a lot for info motorfx, havn't understood everything you said yet, but i'll look deeply into that.

EDIT: wohoo. i'm not mad, it really exists
i'm wondering now, if it's possible to make display not only positions, but laptimes as well.

Since the game displays those numbers on the dash of the car, should be possible.
Question though: does it eat much FPS, or is that more dependent on what you do with the graphics?
