Default GPL virgin needs help with GPLshift

I installed GPL today for the first time.

I used the latest GPL installer and everything worked fine. Then I downloaded GPLshift so I could use my G27 H-shifter...

It works perfect from the GPL 1.2.0.2 shortcut (gpl.exe), but the GPL installer also put a GPL 1.3 (gplc67.exe) shortcut on my desktop. If I launch that, I can't use my H-shifter.

How do I get GPLshift to update that .exe as well?

Thanks for any help

Sorry I was no help, don't use it or Pribluda.

You wil find GPL tools pretty amazing.

Concentrate on 1967 find your car and stick to it.

Fondest memory of sims was finally breaking that invisible wall in GPL
first thought was ........., " I AM ALIVE" ......... sort of

Oh let me throw in 2 bobs worth for CCM ( Camera Control Master ), try that out.......then wonder what every other sim has been doing for a decade or more.

You were a big help mate. GEM looks pretty cool. I've barely scratched the surface, but I can tell already that this game is epic

Actually you a rariety. lol
I know people have returned to GPL but I can't think of anyone
has done most sims including CARS then tried GPL a first time.

Difference to other sims those you can give a review after one session.
GPL will take a touch more time..........lol

Take GTR2 and run it in DX7, turn off everything else (including advanced force settings ) not available in GPL and see how good the immersion is now.

I think you understand were I come from now ie: I am not putting down GTR2

Short answer to gears' problem -> Use GEM which uses the gplc67.exe anyway. Find GEM at http://gem.ebi-service.de/

The reason is that the GPLShift patch patches the gpl.exe only. When you run GEM, it adds the patches to the mod patches (gplc67.exe, gplc65.exe etc). When you do the 67 patch, you are instructed to delete the gplc67.exe so that GEM can build a new one based on the patched gpl.exe. In fact you can delete all the mod patches any time you want (but never the gpl.exe) and GEM will rebuild and update all the mod patches.

I don't really understand what the purpose of the GPL 1.3 shortcut is - it isn't mentioned in the readme_english_67_Patch_v1.3.txt. I guess that it's for people who don't want to use GEM.
