Default Rant That isn't about PD or Skylines.

I just spent an hour in GT5 TRYING to race online. The online wasn't broken. My internet wasn't broken. The community was broken. So I broke it down into a list.

My DFGT buttons don't work. I hardly use it on console. Kicking me for not using a wheel is pointless. I'm just as fast on controller anyway.

I will not get a Mic to talk to some strangers over the internet. I am not racing you to be your bestest best friend. I'm racing you to win the race. If we have something in common, THEN we can be friends. But then you can talk to me on my computer, not on my console, sorry. Also, I keep my voip volume extremely low and can barely hear 90% of people during the actual race, because its annoying and distracting to have "oooh" and "aaahhh" in my ears when concentrating.

I can't change the country I'm from. Kicking me because I'm from this country and not yours is petty.

If there is a range of the server (i.e 600-650) and I use a 600pp car. Why kick?

Yeey elitism. Ruined my night then.

I find the online system pretty confusing myself. Why not be able to select, say, <300 BHP cars on Track X or Y? Or only certain classes of cars?
rF's online system seems much clearer in comparison.

Sure when its working. And I've never been kicked for a bunk reason from a pc sim really.

But if I just want to relax and play some games on my console, I should be able to enjoy a pub server so long as I don't do anything totally against the rules. No matter what I play on console, Grid, MCLA, whatever, I get constantly kicked from pubs for a stupid reason.

It seems as though alot of the talk on the pc simracing side is often hot air. In my experience, playing on PC publicly tends to get you into places where people are interested in having fun and racing. On the console, people want to make friends/trashtalk and don't give a crap about competition most of the time.

I had some great races earlier in the day against people with both wheels and pads and not using mic's. Good, clean ones. Those are incredibly rare. I came back tonight with some time hoping that people like that were still around, an hour or two seems to have changed the crowd completely.

There should be more choice for online racing,it is almost impossible to find a good clean race , and if you do it is not long before some one come on to it who is a crash fest person.

I got sick of been kicked or just the connection going, I do admit to a few errors as I do not have the vast amounts of time to get use to all the cars & some time's you miss brake or you get pushed by some one else & then you get kicked.

I can not stand Voice over IP its a pain in the rear, I do not want to listen to some one's front room noise.

I also have little time for Text message's also its all very mixed up racing wise you should be able to choose the types or class of car for your race room the PP points is to limited for my likeing.

You can not have lets say a all GT event or a Classic car event as you are limited to the PP system that needs updating it can be done in online events ie Seasonals so why can it not be added into online setting less I have missed somthing I think its still only PP ajustments still for race's.
