You need to post in the ISI forums

login to your account then klick on Request Refund klick on Do you really want a refund?
Doing so will deactivate your rFactor2 licenses.
Continue and see if you get back what you have paid .. i have not test that but i hope it works if not i think you must pm isi

ok i test it it say Your refund has been requested

ouch that not worked i can still login on rfactor 2 ...

best PM then

eer, you do realise this is the beta right?

You don't have all the content for the game, there will be alot of GT cars too.
And crashing issues will be fixed for the final game.

Surely that's when you decide whether you want your money back or not when you know what the final game plays like?

hi zey,

i am not fan of open wheelers too and historic cars not much too.
so i only did megane more testing.

but you should stay to this game.
rfactor 1 was a not realy good game as it was orginal, bad FFB, not good cars, and handling i did not like too in orginal cars much, and no good GT cars.
the advantage of rfactor will be the mods. which will be for sure come in rfactor 2.
i hope that the problems are actual will be delete (do away) till final game comes somewhere in 2012 (i hope).
so you should wait, and in 1 year you will have a good game with a many different cars to drive.
if you (like me too) like GT cars as favourite cars and the other cars like open wheel, touring car or historic cars not so much, i think GTR2 is still and will be nr.1 racegame (perhaps GTR3 will be then nr.1, but not sure, i fear GTR3 will be closer to race07 then to GTR2 )

nothing wrong actual with this game, good car handle in megane, only FFB must be fixed outside of track and the hard for computer thing should be become a little better too, with then many new cars and any improvements this racegame will be for sure the next big thing for online races.

ps. zey, do you drive actual online races in league somewhere??

servus

Did you actually read anything about the Beta before you bought it?

Saying a game "crashes in Multiplayer" means nothing, it may well be crashing due to issues on your system and once again it is Beta and so is highly likely to have issues.

And the funniest about it is that the crashing IS most probably caused by his system I have not had a single crash yet, spent about 15hours in game.

And did anyone actually not agree with that you have to buy a game first before you will test beta ? ... I dont know how most people can agree with this form of shopping...

Let me make sure you understand what ISI is doing with this beta...

You pre-purchase the game and get exclusive access to the beta. They are not the first developer to do this. period.

looks like this thread is taking off.. so I might as well add my own point of view and add gasoline to the fire here so people get a reality check

Hey kids! why the whining because OP wants his money back? instead of helping him and giving him advice on how to get a refund on the game.. you go ahead and whine and say ooh dont uninstall it its only a BETA etc etc.. Im sure if he wanted to discuss it he would be off to a discussion thread about the game..

I mean come on.. Im sure if he wants a refund Im sure he has thought through it.. you act like some teenagers, if someone doesnt like the game you go ahead and tell him oh man you have to like it its awesome just because you yourself like it.. everybody is different and has different expectations of a game and opinions

thought I'd give you a reality check so you can cool down your fan-boy'ism

So why for example DICE didnt did something like that with BF3 beta, hmm ? "You have to preorder BF3 first to play in our exclusive beta !!!" Well, BF3 beta was exclusive for only one day, but that doesnt change anything, because later they did a open beta, for everyone. And please dont tell me that BF3 have so many bugs for example as a argument, because Im not talking about this, only about method of selling it.

I really don't get why it bugs you so much. If you don't want to "pay for a beta" then don't. It's your choice, and you loose nothing. When the game is released you can try the demo, and buy if you like it. Seems simple to me.

because DICE for BF3 they had distributors. The distributors already invested huge amount of money in work; also they invested huge amount of money into the advertising the product through all the mass-media. The sales of BF3 even with piracy will be very big - thats guaranteed. And the whole mess about "day of open beta" was just a Promo Action which brought a lot of attention to BF3 through all the social networks. Remember how many people were online those first days? Now look how many are online with rf2 now.

ISI guys are "indie band" - they are independent developers. And the thing they develop - is for very narrow amount of public. 2/3 of that public steal content everyday from platform to platform. The pre-order of the game while giving access to the beta is the finest decision to make sure the ISI guys earn their money for their hard work.

I really quite like the way ISI and WMD are "selling" the Beta, it makes sense.

I don't know if this is the same in other countries but in the UK you would probably be laughed out of the store if you took a retail game back and tried to get a refund because you didn't like it. With the way WMD & ISI are doing it you get to play the game quite a way through it's development and more importantly have your say in it's development. You can play it right up till the day of release and still get your money back if you don't like the finished product.

The OP came on here and took a pop at the game he apparently thought would be bug free despite knowing it was a Beta and the majority of the cars in the game are open wheelers which he "hates", had he spent a little more time reading he would not have had to come on here to ask about a refund.

ISI does offer a refund if you request one.

But as far as I know, WMD does not. I can find nowhere on the site or in the terms and conditions where it says you can request a refund.

Of corse it might not be ISI's fault. it might be your system or many other things.

It would be helpful if you could pass on the details of your system to ISI so they can fix it. Because, They WILL fix it.

If you say something negative about pCars on their forums, they will "remove" your account and credit you.

The point is, the terms and conditions of WMD pCARS do not say you are entitled to a refund.

ISI clearly states you may have one if requested.

How simple would it be to have a deposit only account ( you understand what they are ) .........so I could walk into any of the Big 4 Oz banks and put cash across the table, no accounts, no 3rd party sites to join (.... that then sell your info to mailing list companies ) no joining fees, ID, names or BS.

I make a stand if they don't want to be bothered to put it in the shops so I can buy with no hassles.... or make it I can but it without Paypal they will never get my money.

They say .....but who cares about you ? .......lol

If I do not matter neither do their sims.

You don't even have to join paypal for rF2. You can pay straight with the pre-paid card.

You will need a "boodgie email" (lol what?) though

I don't run MSN or email on sim hardrive every since you had to do online updates to install.........but in this case I will make a exception.

Once I get new wheel to online I would be adding MSN anyways probably.

I may actually install this to C:\ Force3, do full windoze updates ;p , MSN. yadda and make a new image to archive.

I've had a Phones4U Escape Card for about 2 years, it's used for all my online shopping, I keep about £50 on it until I need to buy something, if someone gains access to it they aren't going to get a great deal.

But I will use it for no cash deposit sites for sure, I could have gone on for oinks not knowing about these so again thanks Gears.

Sort of no man's land when someone says it will use anything.
Wondering what sort of usage people have seen as well.

Lately tell the truth I just let it do its thing, with 8GB is a maximum 12GB swapfile, I normally make a fixed one but does not seem to make a difference anything I tested really.

I have not noticed any dramatic defrag on C:\ either , manual tuneup just wants to ignore it all the time and it is fairly particular.

When I was on XP I used to set a fixed pagefile as well, but since Vista and 7, there seems to be no need anymore.

Win 7 handles memory quite well. I just let it do it's thing also.
