EDIT: I fixed it! So nevermind. Nice pic below of my setup though if you wanna check it out.
GTR2 is giving me a win32 error!!!! I have never had an issue with GTR2 not booting up ever since I installed it. Well today my playseat evolution arrives. So I decide to hook up the computer to my LCD TV so I can go all out with the fun factor. Well I needed a sound card for my PC that had a optical line so I could hook it up to my receiver for surround sound. So I ran over to Frys and picked one up. Came home, put the Playseat together. Bolted down the G25 wheel and pedals (cool that the playseat has bolts for the G25 set perfectly into place). I install the sound card. Then I hook up the PC to the LCD TV and get everything done. Go to click on the GTR2.exe and ERROR!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm assuming this has something to do w/ the sound card?? Guess I will reinstall. Does anyone know what is wrong? ok one more thing. I tried starting up rFactor and before it started it had me select my video card settings. That is the first thing you do when you install GTR2 or rF.
So not sure if that help you try to solve my issue. Any way, I selected my settings and rF started up for me. Still after restoring my PC back a day and installing the sound card again GTR2 will not start. I am still getting a win32 error. |

It's not clear to me whether you ran the GTR2Config.exe tool before running GTR2?

I just fixed it! It dawned on me that if rF brought up that config file that maybe I needed to redo it on GTR2. So I did it and it's fixed!!!! YES!

No I didn't run it at first but as stated above I finally realized that is what I may need to do since rF automatically made me do it. Did I need to do this because I switched my LCD computer monitor to my LCD TV monitor?

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's because you hooked up a new display.

I got that same error at first when i started to use my Samsung lcd-tv as a racesim-monitor. I bought PS Evolution too, in April.
I use Dualview-mode in my Nvidia drivers(1680x1050 / 1360x768) and i just change "primary display" to my tv before i start to drive. Other games i play from my 22" Samsung pc-monitor as earlier. But back to subject, i have found out that if i have wrong resolution choosed from game, my lcd-tv doesn't show picture at all, so i had to ran all sims config screens there after i had changed primary-display to lcd-tv. |
