have you contacted steam to see if your user has been blocked by them

other suggestions

try running steam as admin

allow steam in your antivirus

check that your router modem hasnt had an update and has blocked this connection

maybe it's just a temporary problem...meantime you could try this - search for ClientRegistry.blob file (it is located in steam folder) and rename it to ClientRegistryOld.blob and then start steam

I recommend uninstalling steam, deleting the steam folder from your computer then reinstalling Steam, but after that you have to install again your games
You find the download of Steam here http://store.steampowered.com/about/

You think Steam sucks, meanwhile millions of other people are happily using it without issues, so if you can't help the man then leave, your not helping anyone by just telling him to give up.

The issue usually occurs when there is a problem with connecting to the Steam network. One thing you might be able to do is copy your SteamApps folder to a temporary location, uninstall and reinstall steam, and then copy the SteamApps folder back into your new Steam folder.
Once you do this your games will appear in your list, right click on the game you want to play again and go to Properties, and go to the Local Files tab and "Verify integrity of game cache". Which will make sure your game files will work with the new Steam install if they don't already.

I complelty removed STEAM, also from the registry and reinstalled it , the issue Is I can't even go to user interface becasue I get that message I posted

basicly I get " .... account is connetcting... " then a few seconds later I get this stupid message

I dunno , maybe I need to try from a different computer and if that doesn't help maybe try to SELL the account because at it is it's complelty useless ,

the thing Is I really started to TRUST STEAM and now all this has been compellty shattered, I won't ever again buy anything that requireds a client to play even offline , in moments like this you realize THAT YOU ARE COMPELTLY AT THIER MERCY !!

Try This:

Quote:
For PC:
Please exit Steam and go to the folder called C:\Program Files\Steam\ (this is the default location for a Steam installation - if you set a different installation directory, you will need to browse to it).

Delete all of the files in this folder except:

The \Steamapps\ folder and Steam.exe (this file is listed as an application and features the black and white Steam logo)

Restart your computer.

Then, launch Steam.exe from within the Steam installation folder, and not from a pre-existing shortcut.

With Steam running, re-test the original issue.

Note: This process will not affect your currently installed games.

If the issue persists, make sure your network is optimized for Steam:

BTW You are supposed to not selling your account. If you can read terms and condition.

I would say that Steam has nothing to do with it, it may be really your firewall or router or something.

Agreed. Been using Steam for 7 years and have dozens and dozens of games on it.

Never, ever had a single issue with Steam, ever.

@ Alex. It happened to me as well when i recklessly started to delete steam files. You just have to get of the rest of the files and reg entry's before you can start again. It did cause 5 minutes of severe frustration.
