Yes, a blatant rip-off of the car related thread
![]() One track I would like to see is the Fiorano Circuit, Ferrari's test track. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiorano_Circuit Also the current issue of Motorsport has an article about a road circuit near Buxton in Derbyshire that was proposed, but never actually used. It would have been Englands first road true road race (And I just happen to live a few miles down the road )http://issuu.com/motorsportmagazine/...&pageNumber=42 I wonder how many more gems might be out there which have not yet been 'done'? Of course if any of the talented track makers out there would like to take on one of these 'projects', I'm sure we'd all be very grateful

..hehehe, I've had the same ol idea ..but you drawn faster!
![]() ..well, I prefer RL test tracks too ..and perhaps some hillclimbing & rallycross stuff too ..but my alltime favo track was and is the GPL Dundrod Circuit 1950 (Ulster GP) ..a dream! PS@Hey-Luciani: ..humm ..I seem to remember there was a BMW M3 Challenge conversion for GTR2 (resp. GTL) somewhere? ..but beat me I've forgotten where to find ..too bad!

Old, non-chicaned Imola, Valelunga that works without parking cars on the track and without ctd and any historic non-chicaned track, that doesn't come to my mind.
@LeGhoul: I don't know the layout of Dundrod, but 1950 sounds good enough for me I'll do a search, when I will have finished this post. Bye-bye, rainerAddition: I did look for Dundrod and think it would be a great place to race those front-engine sportscars of the 50's. Just think about a chamionship at Le Mans, Monthlery, Reims, Dundrod, Aintree, Imola, Monza (banked of course), Avus, The Green Hell Last edited by aspirin; 10 April 12 at 20:53. There's some left to do?
![]() ![]() ![]() Myself, I'd love to see the GTR2 Nelson Ledges finally get converted, and the Toronto track that has been around in various forms. I've done both for my own use but would love a legit version of both. One I'd love to see in GTL is the Livet Glen rfactor track as I quite loved that one but quite dislike rfactor!! So I haven't driven it in a LOOONG time and when I did I did so wishing it were GTL!!!I have so many tracks as it is, I'd have a hard time thinking of one we don't have but the Livet Glen one I'd add to my regular tracks I actually DO drive! One track I'd like to see is Cayuga. |

Vaca Valley Raceway, between Sacramento and SF was a neat track in the 50s and early 60s that just faded away. You can find some cool pics of Ferraris and other GT cars racin there. Now the most of the outline is just barely visible from the air.[IMG]http://www.tamsoldracecarsite.net/VacaValleyToday.html

You want to be doing Dundrod scratch or watch your back !
Jim Pearsons has been STOLEN and made into a goddamn awful shitty conversion a 5 year old could do better Look at Targa it makes almost every other GPL conversion look like doggy doodoo. lol If half the dreamers got off their arse instead of wishing and stealing you would have your own DUNDROD ! lmao |

Not sure what point you're trying to make. This is where you can post which tracks you'd like to see in GTL. Nobody has talked about stealing anything...except you

Seriously: I think there is a big difference between wishing and stealing. Do I wish I had more money? Yes! Would I steal money? No! What should be wrong, politely asking for a certain car, a certain skin or a certain track? The only thing, I don't like, are people, who try to push the developpers of new add-ons, or even flame on them, if they decide to stop their work on an announced project. Cheers, rainer |

Anglesey circuit would be nice. Fifth gear used to use it. Can't recall if it was done but I did here murmurs about it a while ago (probably someone else asking about it) -
http://www.angleseycircuit.com ![]() I'd bet there are a lot of tracks people would like that are already out there on other websites (my recent idea of the Hethel test track springs to mind apparently it exists somewhere), just that they are not "recognised" by the people here due to issues of "legitimacy" or users being banned here. Problem I find with many tracks though, especially ones of an older nature in GTL, is that they are converted from older games, and generally they show it. But converting/making tracks properly is a heck of a lot more work than converting cars.

There are thousands of tracks still waiting to be done for GTL.
This track database includes almost every known track, from the early days of motorsports to the ones that are just waiting to be finished, plus lots of proposals that never came to existence: http://theracingline.net/racingcircuits/racingcircuits/ I guess that more than 600 tracks have been created for GTL already, so i don't have any wishes on further releases. I won't be able to drive them all anyway. ![]() Edit: Just found out the last entry in the database is from 2004 or 2005, so the latest tracks are missing. Here is a more up to date list by Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_auto_racing_tracks Last edited by grojosan; 11 April 12 at 15:10. Reason: Update |

Google for 'Nuclear Satellite tracks' and you'll find a list that's even more extensive, including long-gone historic circuits (also lists temporary racetracks and kart tracks among little club racing tracks though).

wish I had the vila real and Braga in GTL.
I have the files but do not know the platform (perhaps rFactor), if there is someone who wants to do the mod. |

..There *is* a Brooklands version for GTR2, so with the usual GTR2 shared files (teammaps etc) this should be driveable in GTL.

More then new circuits I would rather see some of the existing ones improved. Quote:
That ain't gonna happen till Jim Pearson releases it, if at all, then it will be in GPL for a year at least. Afaik no one is working on it. |

Have to agree with you there, quite a few in the D/L section could do with an update, don't know how hard that would be,but would give them a new lease of life!

You are referring to Jim Pearson's Isle of Man REVISED shortened. Jim has been working on full road for years. Besides, rFactor and any other conversion of that track are STOLEN. ![]() So don't go mentioning them here ! Nascar2003 version was never meant for public release only for league whom then leaked it ( GREAT BUNCH of GUYS ! ) |

You can use most GTR2 tracks in GTL by adding some files (they're virtually the same sim technically). Additionally, they're very easy to port between those sims, if you look around you should be able to find some easy-to-do tutorials to do it within an hour or so.

Very first circuit I thought of. What a treat the ol' Tamborello would be in a GTL monster!
The other old beauty that comes to mind is the original public-road layout of Watkins Glen. The roads all still exist. Speed Channel in the US did a neat video presentation about it, then sent a few Grand-Am drivers around the original roads in a Porsche and a Corvette. Sweep through high-speed curves surrounded by forest, dive headlong down big elevation changes, navigate a tricky bridge crossing, jump the railroad tracks, and blast off down a shoreline road adjoining a large, scenic lake. Get the right sounds installed for your big V8s, call in sick to work, and just call it Heaven.

How about the Südschleife ?
I remember this was talked about a while ago for GPL but I have yet to see it materialise except for rFactor. It would be an awesome addition for GTL. Perhaps somebody could then 'sew' it to the Nordschleife and have the Gesamtstrecke. Last edited by looseether; 14 July 12 at 07:51. |

Tracks might get better from it. |
