Default Tires not seen in Z28 mod

This only happens with the new Z28 mod (pretty awsome I might ad). The tires and wheels dissapear on the Z28 when the car is about six car lengths in fron of my car (they resemble a hover craft). It happens with all of the Z28 cars. Any feed back would be nice.

Increase the lodout values for the wheels.

Interesting, this happens on the TR4 too. I'll give it a go, it's always bugged me.

Is it the Wheel_C GMT?

I don't know what lodout values are. Sorry, can you be more elaborate?

They are in the .cas file.

I've had a look at the TR4, but they don't seem any different from the standard cars.

Yeah I went to the CAS file also. There are a lot of Lodout values to change. I did see four that seemed a possibility. Initially they were at 898.00 and I change the value to 999.00. The other cars that don't have this problem had this particular lodout value set to 50.00. I keep working on it. Maybe more information is needed from Goresh, Thanks.

I've changed months ago all my cams in defviews.cam to:

ClipPlanes=(0.225, 500)
LODMultiplier=(2.0)

And I never see car graphics problems anymore.

I have not any problem with the wheels of the Z28.

It's not the cam view. It's real time while racing.

I just had a look and to be honest the way this cas file was written makes little sense. Copy and paste the following, replacing whats currently written in the cas file:

INSTANCE=LFTIRE

Upon looking further this car could really use its cas file rewritten. Example of what i mean is as follows:

<MAX> MeshFile=Camaro71_Z28_rbumper.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False ShadowReceiver=True LODIn=(0.0) LODOut=(20.0)
<MAX> MeshFile=Camaro71_Z28_rbumper.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False ShadowReceiver=True LODIn=(20.0) LODOut=(70.0)
<MAX> MeshFile=Camaro71_Z28_rbumper.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False ShadowReceiver=True LODIn=(70.0) LODOut=(320.0)

As you can see here while driving in Max graphics mode the rear bumper has 3 lods but only one model, pointless. The car would run alot smoother if it was written as I did with the wheels above. If SCCA agrees I could redo the cas for a future update.

just to add my two cents worth ...
I have the same "hovercraft" effect with some of the Porsche 911 S skins (the ones by Ytanguy I think ...) as soon as they are a bit further away, cars BEHIND them still show their wheels ...

Cheers,
