Default WRC 3 Close Cockpit Camera Mod

WRC 3 Close Cockpit Camera Mod

Hello.
I've edited "Close Cockpit Camera Mod" and would like to share

---------------
* Description *
---------------
- Added 2 new Cockpit Camera Positions, "Close" and "Very Close".

- Including "Normal" and "Career Mode Easy Unlock Mod" versions.
( Note : "Career Mode Easy Unlock Mod" unlocks most of the Cars, Paints, Vinyls, Upgrades and Areas in "Road to Glory" of WRC 3.)

- Because of the limitation of the hex editing, I could not edit all cars at a time.
Thus, I edited the following 2 versions, "(mainly for) 2WD Classes" & "(mainly for) Other Classes" versions.

Please refer to "Close Cockpit Camera - Available Cars List.png" included in this archive.

- I found "Look to Apex" is set to "ON" as default (for some cars) in the original camera settings file.
This may be the reason why the Cockpit Camera movement is so large even with "Look to Apex" set to "OFF" in "Game Options" menu.
So, I edited it and now Cockpit Camera becomes less movement.
(As usual, you can enable "Look to Apex" in "Game Options" menu.)

Thanks to LeMic and Luigi Auriemma for Mixfile ReMixer.

Thanks to Milestone for this fantastic game.

Hope you'll have a lot of fun with this Mod !

---------
* Note *
---------
- We can't use edited "DATA.MIX" file in online Multiplayer Mode.
So, please note this Mod is only for offline Single Player Mode.

Is there anyway to re-centre the camera? I think the current cockpit camera is leaning to the left hand side of cockpit and looking at the right hand side a bit, which makes it doesn't looks like looking straight forward.

May be some comparison will let you understand what I am saying.

Thanks for your feedback, mfxfgr.
I had the same question and tried it.
And it was possible to move the steering wheel towards the center of the monitor by changing some parameters. But drive's position seems to be optimized to the default steering wheel position, so I could not get a good result

Thanks for comment as always, Hezemans.

I personally like close cockpit view. And I'm also happy you'll enjoy this Mod too

Did you move the seat or change the orientation? vLocalInterest (Yaw, Pitch, Roll). Setting yaw from -1.25 to 0 seems to look ok to me. Only tried a memory hack on this and not the actual CAMERAS.bml but should work.

Thanks for your advice.
As far as I've tested, the current camera position is better because we can see right side of the car well.
So, I don't have any plan to change it.
Thank you

If you want to closer popularity WRC3 to RBR, you need to burn video editing BML format..
Will not please everyone., _how many people, so many opinions ..

Thank You TommoTAG!
I agree with You every human can seee the A pillar both on the two side from a real seat in areal car, so the position settings is OK in Milestone's WRC 3.

Your close cam view also great, someone if liked RBR, should love it too!

you change only fov..? and by default it strongly flattened ..
fov necessary on the contrary to pull to 10-15%, and move the forward the position of the camera
these values are are denoted by x =?, y = f, z =?
..anyway thanks for trying ..

Thanks for your comments, simgames.
The best way might be Milestone enables us to change FOV and seat positions in-game.
I hope they will add some of these options in their future titles

Thanks for your comment and feedback, frenkie.
This time, I found the Milestone's camera position is well adjusted so that players can see both sides of the car well.
If we compare the monitor to the front windshield, it may be close to the real seat position. And this is very interesting too

Is there a way to take the chase camera a bit further back?

It's far too near the car for my liking. I think it should be like it was in WRC2. Can it be done?

Is it possible to improve the camera from the cockpit in SBK Generation. Current is simply unplayable. Something like SBK 07 for the PS2.

Default Top cam

Hello TommiTAG!

I miss very much the roof cam view. In WRC every car has it. If you watch videos about stages, You can realise that TV's like it very much, and good choice during a replay

What do You think, could You make a set for a roof cam?
