Default Nurburgring Times

On Nurburgring track, I can't get Saleen S7R faster than 8min21s and BMW Extream 8min 14s. I see AI in WTCC Extream doing it few seconds less than 8min. Is this unrealistic or am I too slow? What are your times? Setup hints?

Practice, practice, and more practice.....

I've been able to get into the low 7's with all of the GT pro cars and the radical. There are many guys faster than me....much faster than me. I did it with the default setups.

The Ring is THE most demanding and complex dedicated race course still existing (possibly ever). I just completed a couple of laps in Race07 using the 190HP Radical SR3 and managed an 8:26, while crashing into a couple of walls and going through a complete brain spasm in the Karussel. Without those screwups I'd easily be down under 8 minutes and if I actually knew the course after the Karussel worth a darn I'd have it under 7:30 easily.

All it takes is practice and COMPLETE memorization of the corners. There is no way to be fast around the Nordschleife without knowing every turn before it happens.

Your talking about Nordschleife, my time was for the 24hr race layout. I use this layout because I don't have to do an entire warmup lap before lap timer starts. I was wondering why AI car went around the Nurburging GP part twice after the pit exit, but the time starts the second time around so you don't have to do a entire lap before the lap timer starts.

Oh I stand corrected. Yeah low 7's would be a bit quick. HINT: on the Nordschleife, When you are in a practice mode you can exit the pits the wrong way and start your timed lap without penalty or having to waste 7-8 minutes on an outlap. I've only tested this in practice. I would imagine you would get a penalty if you tried this in qualy.

low 7 can be easily achievable with these cars, probably in the 6' for best drivers, seeing that I can get into 7'4x with WTCC87 cars

alot of lines are not obvious so the track requires tons of laps to get right

assuming you're talking nordschleife alone, full nurburgring might take abit more time

I just drove few laps on online and i got 7.41 with Vertigo. Not anyhow spectacular driving, more on the safe side and i tried to drive w/out errors.

But i was faster than some guy with Koenigsegg(Race version)
