Right before the last race of the season Po911 sent me a pm with a link for the GTREvo version of his F1 2008 GTR2 conversion.

yes it work great in offline version, i convert it and use it in online version

I have converted all tracks of GTR evolution too, they has been classified in Formula1 category. All tracks come from the Web, and they just modified. Enjoy with it, I try to launch a server in 30minutes.

The mod is ok. But where is the Helmet View??
I think the Helmet View is the very best for formula mod.

I agree. Also even the hard break dont locks the tires, and so the breaking is a bit unrealistic too.

This mod fills betwen arcade and sim.

But is beautiful, thanks a lot for it.

I have question.
I installed in a temp folder.
and, I was copy and overwrite "Game Data" and "UIdata" to "Race07" directory.
then...I can`t see constractors logo in Menu.
I see only Ferrari Logo.
I cant see other...
I made any mistake?

Looks fine at first time but...

Colors are too dull.
No shadow under the car, only lowres sunshadow.
Shadows appearing on strange places when driving close to walls.
I'm missing the little windscreens.
In several cam view there are missing parts from the right front wheel.
All camera views

But most irritating is when I just make a tiny little scratch on the wall or crashbarrier the whole car goes on fire !!
Or the idiot on the radio says: "Dammage is not repairable, race is over, sorry"

Try it, drive slowly and just touch with the frontwheel the crashbarrier.
End of race!

I think this release is released too quick without good testing, testing and testing again.
I'll wait for the update, if there's comming one....

Not bad, eats my FPS though.

Is it still a WIP???? There are loads of glitches noticable. 3 times my car blew up when I touched wheels with another car, the damaged is massively exagerated. Litterally I just touched wheels and damage was terminal.

It is near impossible to read what gear you are in on the LCD display.

Maybe Im missing something but 7th gear cannot be adjusted, is there a mod for this like there is for GTR2??????

In the car selection screen the drivers appear to be in the engine bay, you can see thier helmets poking out of the bodywork.!!!!!!

Also I get no engine sound when the car is stationary. I get this with other mods to though.

Apart from those things it is quite fun to drive, maybe to much grip but definately worth the download.

what direction do i save it to, i used the gamedata and uidata from gtr evo offline (from the f1 installer) and put them in my gtr evolution folder.. but i cant see anything ingame.. howcome?

DL'd and tried for myself. I appreciate the effort and it is really cool having 2008 cars, but this mod doesn't even compare to the F105 mod that is already available. F105 looks as if it could have come with the game.

Yes, everything of race07 work in GTRevo: traks, cars etc.

There are two F1 mods for race7/gtre make sure you get the better of the two. I'm pretty sure the link posted above is the better one but I'm not sure. I Dl'd it awhile ago.

A good effort, but i'll agree, still needs quite a bit of polishing. Physics seem a bit off compared to the F1 '05 mod which feels a bit more realistic to me. With this, I ran a 1:10 at Brazil with an almost default setup...i'd say i'm a pretty good driver, but i'm no Massa.

Ran a 1:16 with the '05 mod which sounds about right for me.

There's also a few glitches as were previously mentioned (sounds, shadows, damage, no helmet view) plus a few like where I can see through the edges of the tires. And of course the shifter animation from the F3000/FBMW. Still loads of fun and I hope to see this finished up and looking as good as the current mod.

Would be nice to get confirmation from the author that the mod will be patched in the future. At current state all those bugs/glitches are bringing this mod down for me.

I agree, it's great having all the new car shapes and drivers but there are too many things not finished in it's present state.

The F1 05 mod is really nicely done with beautiful car models and great physics, so I'll stick with that one for now.
