After downloading the 2008 VLN cars from GTR2 Field website I am wondering if anyone has links to any other forums or sites with 2008 VLN series cars that have been finished.
They make a nice diverse grid.

hi merlin i carnt get ur f430 to show up in game any suggestions the car was installed with the f430's from the FIA 2006 mod

yes i'm working on some other cars right now.
the carpack should be ready at the weekend, if i can find the missing logos on some of the cars.

excellent merlin a take it these are from 2008?? sorry if i seem stupid but i'm new to vln we dont get any coverage here but if see some of the cars from pervious yrs and they ar truly monsters and very varied.

Great stuff Merlin, I love the diversity of these cars.. I have mixed some VLN stuff from 2006 to 2008 and it is great racing.
Look forward to adding these to the grid

yes all the cars are from 2008, it's very easy to discern the cars by looking at the window banner.
in 2008 all cars have the "AVD" logo on it, last year (and 2006) it was "Airnergy".

Merlin any chance some BMW 1 series or BMW 3 series Compacts are on your list?
As u can see from the screenshot posts here I am enjoying BFG VLN 2008 a lot.

ahhh thanks these cars are a blast i love them. are u aware of the 2005 season being done for rFactor it looks fantastic??

ahhh okay wud be awsome tho..... i have the AVP Motorsport BMW E30. would anyone be intrseted in modifying it with a rear wing here's a pic of the car

The AVP car is from class H2 the other one i'm not sure about, i don't think that is a real car from 2008.
The livery is from a 1988 DTM car, and it's not listed in any entry list i've got from 2008.

ok i have collected a few car over the last few days 10 from the 2008 vln but i have a problem. all car's show up fine and i can run them all in a closed practise or open practice but wen i try and do a race weekend i get i ctd. i'm using the gdb file that merlin supplied with one of his downloads correct me merlin if u have nver made or shared gdb file. any idea's

check the .car files maybe one or more cars are pointing to different .hdc files, that's the main reason for ctd's most of the time.
i've upload my vln.gdb files together with my carpack over at gtr4u.de that's right.

that's strange do u have a trace file? that's the easiest way to find the problem.

right click on your gtr2 desktop shortcut,select properties and add the following:
-trace=100

it should look something like this then
D:\GTR2\GTR2.exe -trace=100

when the game crashes you'll get a trace.txt file in your userdata\log folder

I have 1000 in there.

hmm strange... then you should try to remove car by car from your gtr2 directory until it loads properly, so you can fnd out which car doesn't work.

i have tried it with 1000 and still not trace.txt is created ah well i just carnt figure it out
btw i'm using GTR2 ver 1.1 running on Vista and i'm trying to run the race on Virtua_LM's Mid Ohio track

@merlin the cars all work fine on there own or in an open practice with the other vln cars i only get a ctd when a try and do a race weekend

but i'll try what u have suggested

i've got about 35 cars from 2008 now and they also work in race weekends, i don't think it has something to do with my gdb files othewise i would have the same problem like you.
it must be one the .car files that is pointing to a wrong or missing hdc file...could be also a missing tyr file.

ok i have found the problem car it was the Team RacecarEvent Porsche 993 all the files where all over the place so i just del'd it lol thank's merlin for makin me check again and harder ur help is much apreciated

good to hear you got it working now.
i've made an update for the RCE Team Porsche, i forgot to remove the old mask file from the lower lod gmt's.

i've got permission now to release the Audi R4 from rF.
