I've been playing with the INI file for the latest HDR plugin (NOGRIP downloads)
Playing with the BloomFadeTime, BloomScreenLevelDay and BloomAdaptationScreenLevel settings I've had some interesting results. It now only shows bloom when you pass through a shadow (incar). Good track for seeing this effect is Brands Hatch. note: In Rfactor the trackside cams on;y show bloom when car is out of shadow, but R7/EVO show trackside bloom same as in-car Might be worth giving it a go? (hit shift/f12 in game to activate/deactivate the new dll) adjust overall screen brightness with [COLORCORRECTION] DarkeningAmountDay=1 My ENBseries.INI file: [PROXY] EnableProxyLibrary=0 InitProxyFunctions=1 ProxyLibrary= [GLOBAL] UseEffect=0 AlternativeDepth=1 AllowAntialias=1 BugFixMode=0 SkipShaderOptimization=0 QuadVertexBuffer=0 EnableShaders_3_0=1 AdditionalConfigFile=enbseries2.ini UseMRTRendering=0 [EFFECT] EnableBloom=1 EnableOcclusion=0 EnableReflection=0 EnableMotionBlur=0 EnableWater=0 EnableShadow=0 DepthBias=0 EnableDepthOfField=0 [INPUT] KeyUseEffect=123 KeyBloom=120 KeyOcclusion=121 KeyReflection=122 KeyCombination=16 KeyScreenshot=44 KeyShadow=119 KeyWater=118 KeyShowFPS=106 [REFLECTION] ReflectionPower=15 ChromePower=55 UseCurrentFrameReflection=0 ReflectionQuality=0 ReflectionSourceSpecular=50 ReflectionSourceTFactor=50 UseAdditiveReflection=0 ReflectionDepthBias=100 UseLowResReflection=1 ReflectionSinglePass=0 UseEnvBump=0 EnvBumpAmount=100 EnvBumpOffset=100 ReflectionFlip=0 [BLOOM] BloomPowerDay=44 BloomFadeTime=100 BloomConstantDay=0 BloomQuality=0 BloomScreenLevelDay=26 BloomCurveDay=2 BloomPowerNight=25 BloomConstantNight=0 BloomCurveNight=0 BloomScreenLevelNight=15 BloomAdaptationScreenLevel=30 BloomAdaptationMultiplier=2 BloomAllowOversaturation=0 BloomMaxLimit=50 [SSAO] UseFilter=0 OcclusionQuality=1 FilterQuality=1 DarkeningLevel=81 BrighteningLevel=40 IlluminationLevel=5 AdditiveIlluminationLevel=20 UseAmbientOcclusion=1 UseIndirectLighting=1 FadeDistance=15 UseForAlphaTest=0 UseForAlphaBlend=0 [COLORCORRECTION] DarkeningAmountDay=1 ScreenLevelDay=30 ScreenLevelNight=15 DarkeningAmountNight=5 GammaCurveDay=1 GammaCurveNight=1 ColorSaturationDay=-20 ColorSaturationNight=-2 UsePaletteTexture=0 [WATER] UseWaterDeep=0 WaterDeepness=20 WaterQuality=0 [SHADOW] ShadowFadeStart=1 ShadowFadeEnd=100 ShadowAmountDay=30 ShadowAmountNight=20 ShadowScreenLevelDay=30 ShadowScreenLevelNight=15 ShadowQuality=0 UseShadowFilter=0 FilterQuality=2 ShadowBlurRange=30 [ENGINE] ForceAnisotropicFiltering=0 MaxAnisotropy=16 ForceDisplayRefreshRate=0 DisplayRefreshRateHz=60 [MOTIONBLUR] MotionBlurQuality=12 MotionBlurVelocity=10 MotionBlurRotation=10 [PERPIXELLIGHTING] SpecularColorMin=0 SpecularColorMax=100 SpecularColorMultiplier=100 SpecularGlossinessMin=0 SpecularGlossinessMax=100 SpecularGlossinessMultiplier=100 [DEPTHOFFIELD] DOFQuality=0 DOFNumberOfPasses=1 DOFFocusRange=50 DOFBlurinessRange=5 Last edited by zarker88; 22 November 08 at 17:51. |

there is always a new bloom hack. everyone has the best one too. Me I think it just looks blury and not worth the hassle. Evo/07 has the wrong light settings to start with .

then I found the BloomFadeTime, BloomScreenLevelDay and BloomAdaptationScreenLevel settings. It seems to be the BloomAdaptationScreenLevel which reacts to shadows mostly. Increasing this makes the bloom more noticable in shadows. BloomScreenLevelDay seems to affect how strong the bloom effect is - but i could be wrong Obviously the way the lighting has been programmed in the games doesn't make it wholly suited to HDR, but I liked this effect, so decided to post it. I think I might get tired of it after a while though ![]() Surely it can't be long before simbin or isi decide to give it to us properly? edit: with the setting I posted I noticed the bloom cuts in/out quite suddenly as you pass though shadows - so I changed BloomFadeTime to 100, and BloomAdaptationScreenLevel to 30 - now the bloom seems to be applied more gradually... at least on my system Last edited by zarker88; 22 November 08 at 18:01. |

ah bugga
Brands hatch seems to be the only track which works properly. Other tracks either have no shadows to activate the bloom, or have shadows but not activate it, or have no shadows but bloom activates randomly... ho hum. |
