new here Rfactor?

Hey ppl.I just bought a copy of RFACTOR SPECIAL EDITION 2008 for £8

I installed the new patch.

when i installed it,it now asks that i have to unlock it for £25.

Whats going on?

Is the special edition some kind of rip of?

Also it came unopened but with no booklet or cd key

I doubt you would have bought a demo version,
Where did you buy it from?

Was it a copied version?

I bought it from ebay,but it was sealed properly.

All i did was install the new patch to play and when i started up game it said i got 60 mins left or unlock---but i was told the special edition was full game plus mod addon

I have the 2008 special edition, no problems here...

There are two different patches. One for the online version and one for the boxed DVD version. Sounds like you installed the online patch. Try reinstalling from the CD and then download the correct patch. But why would you even need a patch anyways, isn't the 2008 SE version already patched to 1.255F?

Here is a link to the DVD patch:

First make sure you really need it. The version is displayed at the bottom right side of the screen when you run rFactor. Just note that 1:255F still displays 1.255 in the game.

Mine was a disc only affair, as well, btw. I would also suggest a re-install.

Or before you re install, try the dvd patch posted above, you should just need to replace the rfactor.exe.

Where are all these copy's of rF SE coming from? I was told they were in a basket at the door for people to take for free in PC World, but not in any I've bin in
