strange car behavior

Im new to this site and I havent seen a thead about this problem, but, Ive seen it so far in the custom championship. When I come up to a turn I brake and downshift and sometimes the car acts as if the engine drops out and throws me off the track, Im still able to drive after that but leaves me way behind. Anyone experience that?

Welcome to NoGrip. I havent had that happen to me. What do you mean by like the engine drops out?

try un checking the single pedal axis in your game controller settings in control panel ( control panel/game controllers/select your controller/properties/settings uncheck single combined axis. when you restart the game configure your throttle and brake again.

when the box is checked the brake will over ride the throttle killing acceleration.
If this isn't the problem I'm not sure what is happening. maybe auto clutch is needed .

thanks for the imput. It seems like a glitch in the game, SOunds like it does when you hit the sand, but on the road. Car shakes., I have it on auto clutchm but I'll try control panel thing, thanks again

since we're talking about strange car behaviour.. have any of you guys had a problem with shifting? i dont have a wheel + pedals rite now... i have my exams coming up so i dont wanna distract myself.. will be buying a g25 after though... but for now i shft gears with mouse wheel.. and often i have double shifting... missed shifts...or even the car downshifting when i upshift! i've tried differnet mice.. same problem... and the mouse wheel works fine in other games... sny help appreciated.
