Hi guys!
I don't make icons and biks yet. It's too many cars inside. And making icons for any cars can take too much time. I upload icons in version 1.0.

Fiew guys ask about this conversion. That's why I upload it now when complete cars conversion.

Half of the cars don't load because the GTC files are corrupted when opening the .rar

i get CTD on all the 260 cars,not tried the others yet,i have installed this mod correctly

Are you sure that you install this mod as in readme says? Maybe it's becouse you install it as usual addon?
You have to put it RIGHT into GTC-65. Not in AC Shelby Cobra. So you have to view fiew AC Shelby Cobra dirrectorues in GTC-65.

I recheck ALL cars in CLEAR (without other addons) GTL befor I pack and upload it here. Any cars working fine and correct.

No problems here.

Run a trace and report back.

Right click on your Desktop Icon, and choose PROPERTIES.

In the TARGET box after .exe (leave a space) then add -trace=1000

Next time you get a CTD, go to your Userdata folder and in the LOG folder there will be a trace.txt file.

The problem is usually at the bottom in the last few lines

the last two lines on the trace reads
vehgfx.cpp 2552: Unable to read USERDATA\LOG\vehen.scn:Error loading global material RAIN_ANIM

vehgfx.ccp 2607: Could not find instance "SLOT000"

Looks like a rainscreen entry is still in the .cas file

EDIT: Just had a look, yes it is.

In the main folder for the 289.

Open the .cas files (there are two one is 2DW) and remove this section:

It is just in all the 2DW cas files for all the cars, so maybe it is only an issue with certain Graphic settings, because it was not affecting me.

I was wondering why they had two .cas files, perhaps that's it.

Maybe that's why I don't have this bug too...

I'ts good that people inform about they own bugs. It's very helpfull for making version 1.0.

It's complete conversion. Just without icons and biks. You can use it. If you fix one file as you can read here - you hav not any problem, I hope.

Terrific stuff! Thanks a million!

I did have some troubles extracting, tho. I aborted the first run as dozens of files were coming up with errors. The 2nd pass was much better but still got about 3 that were US.

I've tried the Comstock car in-game. Very nice. It's the Ken Miles car from the Canadian GP @ Mosport in 1963. I have personal photos taken on the day. Also of the Eppie Weitzes Comstock Cobra, #54. Too bad I can't post images here. BTW, the green stripes on the Comstock cars were much broader than you show.

I needto download this again as all 4 times I tried to extract the 7zip (using 7zip) I got tens of dozens of errors. yet 7zip "tested" the archive and reported no errors.

just waiting for nogrip to reset me 19.30 hrs to go.

I'm getting errors extracting as well...maybe it's time for an update, with the correct .cas files, and some icons?

The extraction path is too long. Open (not extract) it, drill down until you get to the GTC-65 folder and extract just it. I used WinRAR.

edit: forgot to say, drag and drop the GTC-65 folder to extract it alone.

I'm actually doing all the icons and biks, it is such a daunting task that I keep neglecting it.

I'm halfway through so I'll pull my finger out and get it finished.

I'll have a look at the .cas file too as I'm going to pack all those loose files into a mask.gtl ala P&G.

I have pretty good Bik’s for the 260 cars and many of the others if you want them, I was slowly doing them for my own game.

Also every one I know who had extraction issues with this solved them by using 7zip instead of winzip.
I have no idea why, but 7zip is free and after I got it I never use winzip anymore

Did this ever make it to GTR2, i.e. not GTL-GTR2, just for GTR2 and P and G mods?

The fact that it is already in GTR2 means it can go into P&G with a simple edit of the classes line and the STEX & TALENT entries in the .cas file.

It would not be much trouble to make a specific Cobra Cup GDB to have the car as a standalone either.

Cobra Cup is a great idea. I would also like to see the Cobra vs Corvette wars like the early 60's SCCA battles in California. It would be great if the P&G folks would permission to work with these files.

There are no Icons so they will always show as locked and there are no bik files either so you will just see the default black cobra.


And turn off your CapsLock it is not polite to shout.

Did anyone ever finish\post the missing biks\icons for these 27 Cobras? Spent roughly a half hour searching, but could find nothing.

Don't know about the others simming with GTL, but I know I would appreciate having the biks\icons.

It's such a daunting task I keep putting it off.

I finally got the 260's and 289's to load after increasing graphics, but CTD
on the 289FIA's and 427's of the mod. two of the 289FIA's display in the TEAM selection screen the rest (including the 427's display a flashing timer.

found the error...I extracted the files using 7z instead of Winrar.

Can you mod this mod?
If the 260 version had a detuned motor it could be raced as an A-C Ace
to compete in a 60series LeMans class...or is there a way to "port"
a four cylinder performance characteristic and lighter weight and sounds.
