Dedicated server help needed

Hi all,

I managed to get a Race07 Dedicated server going on my own machine, but its not very stable. Now I want to try running it on a separate machine, but have a few questions:

1. Do you need to install Steam on the other machine or can you copy some files and run the dedicated server from there

2. If you need steam, do you need to install Race 07 and EVo as well

3. Will I need to activate the product, as I don't want to buy another copy of Race and Evo just to run the dedicated server.

4. It seems that the weather causes the dedicated server to crash, so I will keep it on dry races for now, any other tips in hosting a stable dedicated server.

No you can't copy you have to install it on the server but you can use the same account. I have done this. Yes you will have to install the game on it to.

No... You just install Steam and Race/Evo then login to Steam on the Server and start it. Then login to Steam on your pc.

Don't know not run weather on ours yet!

Thanks for the info. So am I right in saying you can be logged in at 2 steam clients at the same time with the same login?

Yes...

I have done this with our server using my account and it works! It's says on our server, once i have logged into the same account on my pc that you have logged into the same account on another PC but as long as you don't touch the server it will be ok!
