Was in Nurburgring GP in WTCC2007 in a SEAT today. The tyre temps were really screwed up on a setup that had well sorted tyres.
Looking at the tyre temps on entry to the garage they showed abnormally high at 193F. They're usually 68F base temperature. The first thought was that the host had setup some kind of weather thing. But the Session weather was the usual 68F ambient/ 81F track temps. And the race had no driving aides allowed. So I went into the ADDITIONAL EVENTS on STEAM and the base tyre temps showed up as 176F in the garage there before going out on the track. Funny stuff. Or not so funny if you're needing to sort your tyres a bit on a car you've not sorted yet. Wazzup wid STEAM today..... is it unseasonably hot wherever they are today? I would have thought that if the host had hacked his Nurb-GP file, there would have been a mis-match. Anybody know how a host server could cause this? Or do you figure it's just STEAM being steamy?

And the session froze awhile after the previous post. Had to hot-boot the pc to get out.
I was setting up a pit menu preset and hung. Shades of when Simbin was hitting RACE07 with a patch a week and hosed most of them. |
