installation/run problem

Hello everybody.

I just got this game from the store and installed it on my computer. Unfortunately every time I try to launch it, it gives me a window "GTR2 - FIA GT Racing Game has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."...

I am unable to play this game, even though it installed without a hitch.

I have latest Direct X installed, as well as video dirvers.

My setup:
Geforce 7800 GTX
Windows XP Pro (SP 2A) 32bit
Athlon 4000+
2 Gigs of Ram

Has anybody else encountered this problem?

I've installed and uninstalled this game about 3 times now, with the same result.

hmm the only time I had anything like that was after changing my monitor, and the game was trying to start with a resolution my display didnt support

try going to the gtr2 directory, double click the 'GTR2Config.exe' and check it has set the correct resolution ?

Try running it in DirectX8, instead of DirectX9 or automatic.
