Are cars from GTL able to be used in GTR2?

Not using their physics and sound. There is a team working to reproduce the physics from scratch and hopefully some reasonable sounds too

A gtl mod in gtr2 would be great , you could just switch between them in the gtr 2 front end , fab.

GTL mod in GTR2 would be excellent.
But truth is, I'd rather have a GTL2. It'd certainly be worth far more than it'd cost. And next time I have a chance at a later retail version of either GTL or GTR2, I'm going to pickup two copies instead of one. I used to spend a lot of time with Grand Prix Legends. It was a lot of work and awfully touchy. Took a year to get halfway comfortable driving. GTL simply is better and was from the gitgo. And ditto for GTR and GTR2. Looking forward to GTR3 and GTL2 |

It would sell so yes i think so. Then again simbin just got a ferrari license to use any ferrari car, so they will probably make a ferrari only game soon. I reckon the WTCC thing for RACE was about getting friendly with the FIA for future license games. A new F1 game for the PC is needed badly.

![]() It is confusing. Also, the FIA do not own series licenses. For example, doesn't Bernie or his company own the F1 license? The GT license is owned by Stephane Ratel's SRO. Last edited by David Wright; 25 December 06 at 22:59. |

Dear rstratton!
Good christmas for You! I know a little bit, how HARD is developing in GTR2, with many cycles switching between photo-paint-program and GTR2 (Alt & Tab). Hours going up with this... But, I want to suggest more tolerance with specific interests of single users, even when not in "mainstream". Compare it with flight-simulators (Microsoft, X-Plane, Fly!2): Some have a sliding controller for simulation DEPTH. Or compare it with versions of same track, beginning often purely without rain reflections. Why not use such simple versions? I like Nordschleife-0.9 most, although I have the newest version, running with acceptable fps´. Oh, I would like the version Nordschleife-1967 from GPL, but there is not such one for GTL / GTR2 (only GTR1.5.0.0). So I´m driving mostly with Legends_Mod_for_GTR2´ Mini-Cooper in GTR2, although I have Original-GTL on DVD. "Everybody should be blessed through his own confession!" (A King of Preußen) |

A waste of one man's hard drive space is another man's most valued data.
Anybody know where the GTL>GTR2 mod is? Just tried another Google idea that turned up empty. Well, it did find this thread... chuckle |

You know, I've just read all the threads I could find about this GTL mod that exists, and I'm certain I wouldn't like it at all.
I used to supply a lot of the CTS trucks every year for that part of N2k3. I helped a number of guys who were creating new tracks for N2k3 work out the AI part of that job. None of us ever just slapped "bodies on whatever physics were available". I can't see enjoying something like that. BTW, I KNOW that I wouldn't like it for another reason. I used to race a Fiat. Back in the days when VIR had just opened up. And was greatly annoyed when one of the rally games offered one and touted it as being realistic. It wasn't. The one in GTL is so close, when I ran the sucker at VIR I almost fell out of the chair. I had to go look in a mirror to remind myself I that time hadn't rolled back. Nah, ain't looking for that half baked mod anymore. |

I want to race a GT40 with GTR2 physics. I don't care about "realism" - I just really like the car.

Theres a thread over at RSC on the GTL forum about the GTL mod for GTR2 and one of the Beta testers has posted a short vid of the action.
