Due to the main PC burning up in a blaze of overclocked glory, it was time to build a new "gamer" and then with the parts from the onl one build a "second place" one
![]() The result - great "social GTR2 events"... It's a temp setup, much like the temp street circuit race tracks - set it up for race day, then take it down till next event. The primary seat gets a nice 60" view, while the "runner up" makes do with a 22" widescreen

Maybe a Matrox dualhead will also work, with the 3rd screen on the second output of the graphics card, and than place a horizontal extension. (only nvidia) On the triplehead you can put 3 monitors. This sends it back to the first output of the graphics card, and than that stupid thing thinks you've got one huge monitor .

Here's my simple thingy:
Just a laptop for GTR2PD My desktop system is on the right, you can't see it, two screens on it. As you can see my wheel is the red MOMO Force, and my seat is a simple chair which is over 30years old or something . I took that one cuz it has no wheels.I use the Rumblepad left of the wheel as a button box. ![]() GTR2PD wasn't 'online' cuz GTR2PD on the desktop was set off.. So that's why it says Norisring, but I drove there at Laguna seca

It's quite annoying yes, I experimented that week with it, and I am back to one monitor.
For racing you must have an uneven number of monitors, so 1, 3, 5 etc. The second I use for work I've got to do. And sometimes two screens is very useful. One screen the manual or example, the other screen I'm working on it. |

Here is my latest upgrade on my cockpit, the ECCI 6000 GTS set. Now only a good shifter is needed for realism racing, any advice....?

Aaaand, finally my project of building the ultimate home race-car in my room has finished!
The last touch to it with the Gear-Sim H shifter and the home made extension on the rack made it now really complete, so proud to present you the picture of it! p.s.: i am still planning to modify a bit the stand for the shifter to make the positioning more comfortable, but it will not result too much change on it, so basically this is how it will look like as finished.

How the heel do you guys get away with having these cockpits in the living room infront of your sofa LOL!
Ah anyways, qustion here: These 3 screens I see yous using, does it make the view wider or have you jus panned it back with ctrl and left mouse click and it's the size overall of the 3 screens that makes it look wider because you can see more? (PHEW! )

And mine. Made it myself by studying Frex's Simconmotion pictures. Yeah, go ahead and call it a Frex ripoff, I dont care. I've been wanting a Simconmotion cockpit since the day I seen one, but their just a little too pricey for my taste. Currently the back two struts keep it all static, but am a member of the X-Sim forums and they are working on getting some stepper motors to work with the X-Sim software. So it won't be long and it will be motionized just like, if not better than a Frex cockpit. I've incorporated an Ivibe into my seat, and could'nt race without it now that I have one.

Those are some nice setups love the one bob has its perfect.
And Neo[RPM] you should get rid of the Creative S750 i have one also (well had 3 is more like it) my last one was 3 days old when it fried and the one be for was like a week(first one was 2 months then when you send it back they send you a refurbished one and it weighs 55 lbs. so it costs $50-70 to send it back) i know it sounds great even better then great so if you want to keep it check out Creative's forums there are some people who have figured out how to keep it from overheating but it takes a lot of modding so my advice is sell it be for it becomes a $400+ headache and buy an Onkyo( http://www.onkyousa.com/prod_class.cfm?class=Systems ) the HT-S990THX is the next system i will buy |

Here's the link http://forums.creative.com/creativel...essage.id=8037 Yep its always the rear left, either distorts bad or doesn't work at all, but while it works it does sound good. I also love the fact that Creative (not very) isn't recalling them or at least trying to find a solution, so I'm using 1" monitor speakers with my $270 X-fi Elite Pro sound card but soon I'll have the cash to buy those Onkyo HT-S990THX witch actually has a digital input and external Amp for satellite speakers so it should be very sturdy and i cant find a bad review anywhere so why not.

How did I miss this thread?
Some lovely set-ups.... Bob's had me almost needing to change my underwear! Oh for the space and money *dreams* Gotta laugh at the picture (not at you personally, just the set-up) on page three of the thread with an ergonomic keyboard at maybe 60 degree angle from the seating position! |

Just an update to mine. It's been Frexed. I (well my girlfriend did, man I luv her hehe) ordered the "anniversary special" Simconmotion components from Frex. All I did was to bolt his actuators and damping kit to my frame. It works perfectly, and because I used 1.5"x1.5" t-slot instead of the 25mmx25mm t-slot that Frex uses I get no flexing of the t-slot when I have the forces cranked up. Trust me, its quite a ride. Plus I added it all up, and I saved about 600.00 dollars by having a good source of t-slot.

Yes i race or practice with gloves because my hands become sweaty after a few minutes and it becomes hard to drive. The tower is a coolermaster Stacker with a home made radbox that support 2x360 radiators.Thats how it becames so hight. The watercooling system is controled by aquaero so when the temps go higher, the fans go with more rpms and so on

Holy Mary, mother of Jesus of Nazareth, Bob!
You could probably get a crappy real-life race car for the price of that setup. And no matter how much I enjoy video games, the best video game in the world isn't as much fun as bringing the crappiest car around a real race track.
