Default Mosler vs Saleen

Why is it that the Mosler, with a very similar body shape to the Saleen, has less than half the downforce of the Saleen? I would think with a shape like that it would at least be close...

As far as i know Saleen invested a great amount of time in developing the aerodinamics of the car's bottom. The street version should have one of the best downforce figures in the world because of that bottom diffuser that supposedly runs under the whole undercarriage.

Same reason a Forumla 1 Ferrari, always went faster than an Formula 1 Minardi, better design.

Also the mosler has less power and weight so if anything it would have too much downforce(+drag) making it slower.

I read somewhere before that the saleen could actually be drove upside down, and still achieve the same downforce characteristics.

No, the Saleen generates its own weight in downforce at 160Mph, so theoretically at 160mph you could drive it upside down, because the downforce would become upforce when the car is upside down, and hold it on the celing, but as soon as you go below 160 the car would fall down.

Better design as in, you car is designed by people who wear diamond incrusted shoes, and stop to have money fights every 15 mins
