Default Quick fix for GTL tracks with Pace Car in the middle of track

Here's how you fix it.

Copied from: http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=261506&page=4

In that case you´ve to edit your AIW-file by hand with Notepad. But it will take a lot of time, you will have to load the game each time you made a change on positions from either pacecar, garagespot, pitspot, gridspot.

For placing the pacecar in front of the field at start of race look over here,

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

[GRID]
GridIndex=0
Pos=(295.132,-0.174,-15.737)
Ori=(-0.004,-1.535,0.000)
GridIndex=1
Pos=(288.269,-0.174,-11.542)
Ori=(-0.001,-1.514,0.002)
GridIndex=2
Pos=(280.170,-0.174,-15.211)
Ori=(-0.004,-1.538,0.000)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gridindex 0 is the first car on the startgrid. Gridindex 1 is the car beside it.
Gridindex 2 is the car behind it. You see an interval of about 15. (295.132 minus 280.170). So when you want to place the pacecar in front of the field add a value from about 30 at GridIndex0, so that will be
Pos=(325.132,-0.174,-15.737)
Ori=(-0.004,-1.535,0.000)

These found values will become Gridindex103. Add it at the Grid section in your AIW-file. Example

GridIndex=103
Pos=(325.132,-0.174,-15.737)
Ori=(-0.004,-1.535,0.000)

You will have to do the same for the position of the pacecar in pit, and when found the right position add it under the section PITS . Example

TeamIndex=51
PitPos=(293.343,-0.203,-26.191)
PitOri=(-0.003,-2.610,0.001)
GarPos=(0,0.000,0.000,0.000)
GarOri=(0,0.000,0.000,0.000)
GarPos=(0,0.000,0.000,0.000)
GarOri=(0,0.000,0.000,0.000)
GarPos=(0,0.000,0.000,0.000)
GarOri=(0,0.000,0.000,0.000)

Hope you can do something with this, good luck.

Greetings
Bladefire

superb got rid of it by coping the example dont know where it went but dont really care THANK YOU VERY MUCH
next questions :

how do you get the start lights to work?

The headlights only work on one small patch of the track the road grid, what i mean is they come on ok as the display lights up but they dont shine on the whole track only this one area as shown below.

Ok got the startlights working but theres seems to be a problem during a pit stop as you always get a stop/go pen. even with the limiter on when leaving the pits, its a great track for short races (no pitstops) and BRILL in GTL
i hope the "REAL" track guru`s find time to convert it.
