Well MR,, I know I tried to help you get online but can only conclude it has something to do with your firewall or router. Router, simply through it in DMZ for your IP Firewall, you need to ALLOW for RallyTrophy.exe, and DirectPlay8 which is located at C:\Windows\System32\ dpnsvr.exe I remember trying to help you a few nights with Troy but it was a no go. Maybe someone here might have the same router as yours and also use the Windows Firewall that could assist. I regret, replays just don't do it for me as online with someone on your ass or ahead of you causes a totally different driving style to emerge, as you are left in the dust if you don't. Giving Finland a try though, looks awesome. Hoggy Last edited by Zieman; 24 January 07 at 09:35. Reason: additional info |

Roadhog has some really good points to driving online, very intense.
But thats not to say that replay style racing is not good, on the contrary, it enables more people to participate when having the typical problems with gamespy. And the not so computer literate find it easier to race this way. Its the way that I started. So maybe we should also organise an online race venue once a month, so that it feeds the hungry online beast within some of us.

Sounds good to me... I have a bud in Norway that may be able to help with the language barrier in helping those get online. Also the fact the equipment in Europe is a bit different, at least brand wise. I need to find him and ask, then set something up.

In the meantime, any of you interested post your spoken language, your operating system, router brand and firewall. And any other info you might feel could help.
At least that way I have a good start. Hoggy </ moved these here, appropriate thread -Zieman > Last edited by Zieman; 24 January 07 at 09:35. Reason: add info |

Okay, there are too many firewall applications out there for me to provide support for but a friend put me on to this site which provides support for a ton of routers and games. You may want to check this site out and it should explain how to forward your ports for GameSpy Arcade fro your particular router.
http://portforward.com/default.htm And they will also explain DMZ.... Hoggy |

You can find two essential files for the multiplayer-mode in the Downloads/Misc Files section.

Hate to rain on your parade bud, but as soon as more than two individuals with the same two files get online, someone won't be able to play. I have known about those files for a very long time and there is no work around....
