removal of player names above cars in multiplayer

How can I stop the Player name from being displayed above the opposition car in multiplayer?

Is this possible?

I'm pretty sure that one of the control keys does this.. cant remember which one though.. have a look in control configuration

ahh.. thats a dx issue that came with dx9 .. to fix that go to control panel/display properties and switch the desktop colour mode from 32bit to 16bit or vice versa depending on how you have it set now, and then the control configuration screen in the game should work again

I have that setting mapped to the 'N' key on the keyboard (default? I haven't made any changes). Perhaps it is always on 'N' and whatever other button you chose in the controller setup?

Sorry guys for digging up this old thread, but I have problem with hiding the players name in multiplayer (arcade). I tried every single key on my keyboard none of them worked
